This page is dedicated to the memory of Lauri Butler of Cimarron Australian Shepherds, and my best friend who taught me everything about Aussies and a whole lot about life.
To date, Cimarron has produced 26 ASCA Champions and 16 AKC Champions, as well as AKC and ASCA Top 10 ranked dogs, ASCA National Specialty Premiere Winners, and the 1996 ASCA National Specialty Stud Dog Winner (bottom left photo), Ch. Cimarron's Sterling Silver CGC, who is the foundation for Callisto.
(left photo) at the 2003 ASCA National Specialty in Wisconsin, the Lauri Butler Memorial Trophy was permanently awarded to Ch. Sunshine's Bewitched by Moonlight, aka Sammy, who is pictured here with her owner Marilee Mansir (left), myself (center) and her handler Diana Curl (right). Diana and Sammy accomplished the amazing feat of winning Best of Breed at the National Specialty 3 TIMES, which fulfilled the requirements for the trophy to be awarded. Itw as a stunning and emotional moment for all 3 of us, as this trophy was highly coverted by all who knew of it. Garry Newton, who is an AKC judge and fabulous sculptor, created this beautiful bronze scultpure, which was paid for by donations from ASCA members and Lauri's family and friends.
